On Instagram, I shared my 3 ways to stay active through the cold winter months and one of them is appropriate gear!
There’s an old saying that goes, “There’s no bad weather, just bad clothing.” Christmas is almost here and it’s a great gift idea to ask for (or get someone) some quality cold-weather gear. Already I’ve been walking on days that feel like 0 degrees with 20 mi/hr winds and felt fine if I was bundled up!
Here is my go-to for cold-weather running and walking – most is on sale right now!
Athleta warm top – I sized up b/c I don’t like a tight fit, but order your regular size if you like it fitted!
Lululemon jacket – My daughter has this one for winter running and says it keeps her very warm! Recommend sizing up.
Under Armour cold weather leggings
Varley hat – The absolute warmest hat I’ve ever owned. Would not wear for running but would be perfect for a super cold walking day. It’s beautiful too!
Indyeva jacket – I purchased this jacket with Christmas gift money and some Scheels gift certificates. I’ve never owned a jacket like this and I hope it will literally last me a decade or more. It’s rated for up to -20 degrees. I’d never wear it for running, but it’s been great for walks with my dog, and I anticipate wearing it while sitting at a lot of cold football games and track meets!
