1. Your story deserves to be heard. Sharing your story is a huge step towards healing. We often minimize our stories, thinking they aren’t important. But processing and sharing your story is a necessary step towards getting well. There is not enough time to do this in traditional medicine – we’re rushed through appointments because of $$ and insurance reimbursement rates. However, as soon as I started doing 60-90-minute appointments, the results of my practice changed. Healing needs space, time, and listening ears.
2. A clinic space can be holy ground. Lots of tears have been shed (by my patients AND me 🥰), prayers have been answered, the Holy Spirit works, and healing happens. I’ve seen literal miracles – not b/c of me, but b/c of the work of the True Healer. God cares about every bit of you – don’t think for a second that He doesn’t still heal, and turn beauty from our ashes.
3. You’re complicated – and that’s a GOOD thing! You’re not simply a weak pelvic floor, a Grade 2 prolapse, or a 4 cm diastasis. You are way more complicated than that, and that’s GOOD! It shows the divine intricacy of the Father’s hand in creating YOU! You are a WHOLE person, and every bit of you affects another part. I don’t just treat pelvic floors. I treat the WHOLE person (and connect you to other professionals you may need that are outside of my scope of practice). I often feel like I’m putting puzzle pieces together, but we’re getting to the ROOT of a problem, not just treating symptoms. That is why you NEED a professional – not just a machine or Dr. Google. You are complicated, and it points to the incredible design of a GOOD Creator.
4. Healing is possible for EVERYONE. I’ll say it again, but differently – healing is possible for YOU! Believing it is the very first step. Almost all the women I work with get better. That seems like a broad, generalized statement, but it’s simply true. It’s not based on how severe things are. It’s based on your belief that healing is possible and your willingness to do the work needed.
5. God will do impossible things when you give Him your yes. This one is for the dreamers out there. If you sense God stirring – if He’s closing doors and opening ones you’re hesitant to walk through – trust Him to do the impossible with your Yes. Disclaimer: that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Most likely, it will be REALLY hard. There will be good days and extremely hard days. It doesn’t mean you’ll be ultra-successful in terms of what the world values – but He will provide and show up in the most unexpected ways. He will do things you couldn’t imagine. Give Him your Yes.
