Gimme that

Over the past few months, I’ve been sharing about Chelsey and how we worked together throughout her pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. You can read parts 1, 2, and 3 here. Chelsey delivered a healthy and happy baby girl last month and shared the following words.

When Tanya and I first connected, it was shortly after the birth of my first child (a big thanks to my sister-in-law for introducing me to Tanya’s Instagram account! :D). The knowledge and mindset she instilled in me while working through prolapse and its symptoms made it clear that I needed her guidance during my second pregnancy. There is so much to learn from her—not just knowledge but also unwavering support! So, as soon as I found out I was pregnant again, she was the first person I reached out to for an appointment. I wanted to ensure that I treated my mind and body with the respect they deserved during this important season of life. With Tanya’s guidance, my approach to working out and daily habits improved mentally and physically. Because of these changes, my symptoms were well-managed, and I felt strong heading into labor and delivery.

Labor was fast! Labor was great! Although I experienced the same degree of tearing (grade three) along the exact same scar line as before, my postpartum healing was significantly better. I was better prepared going into delivery and had a healthier mindset for postpartum recovery. Unlike my first postpartum experience, I didn’t have any of the heaviness I felt after my first labor and delivery. I credit this to consistent kegel exercises throughout pregnancy and after delivery and Tanya’s constant reminders to rest, rest, rest. Simple day-to-day habits, like using a squatty potty, staying appropriately (not over) hydrated, and monitoring my fiber intake, also made a big difference in managing symptoms during pregnancy and healing.

Chelsey chose a preventative approach throughout her pregnancy. This allowed her to prevent issues BEFORE they arose. Through regular check-ins with me and chiropractic care, she was able to stay active, strong, healthy, and pain-free during her pregnancy.

If you’re interested in a pregnancy and postpartum experience like Chelsey’s, I’m here to accommodate your needs. Whether it’s in person at my clinic in Orange City, IA, or virtually 1:1, or through my membership or online courses, I’m flexible to provide the best fit for you. You can contact me here to get started!
