Post-Holiday tip – you DON’T need to pay for your turkey.

Food is fuel and also a part of celebration! You can enjoy food without overindulging through the holidays. But true freedom is found when we sever the tie between exercise and nutrition and find a healthy relationship with both!
Though one requires energy and one supplies energy, you’ll always be a slave to exercise and caught on the hamster wheel of striving if you primarily see exercise as a way to burn the calories you’ve consumed.
For years, I thought I HAD to exercise b/c this was the only way I saw it – I thought I’d immediately gain weight if I skipped a day of running.
Now that I’ve found freedom with both food and exercise, I can enjoy food around the holidays with moderation, move my body in delight, and maintain a healthy (for me) weight during the holidays WITHOUT fear or anxiety.
Please don’t punish yourself today. You don’t have to live in shame or guilt regarding food or exercise. Move because you have a GOOD body, and choose Kindness when it comes to fueling it. Don’t make this the main thing that consumes your mind – it’s a huge distraction from what really matters – loving and serving the people around us. When freedom is found, these help us do what matters most. 🤎
