Want to know my favorite piece of “equipment” for modifying? A bench OR chair.
THIS is your best friend whether you’re new to fitness or you’ve been at it a while. Why? Because it’s the perfect modifier for any type of plank move, burpee, or push-up among many others.
Knee planks and push-ups don’t do a great job of mimicking a full plank or push-up position, making it harder to use these positions to train our bodies to get to the non-modified version. But a plank or push-up on a bench/chair puts us in that exact same position, using the muscles in the same way, only elevated to make it a little easier.
Next time you get to the part in your workout video where they’re doing all sorts of planks and the modifier is on her knees – get to your bench or chair and do the EXACT same thing and tell me how much better it feels! I guarantee you’ll like it more!! Who’s got no shame in modifying??🙋🏼♀️
