A few of my favorite things lately…
- Bombas slides – I meant for these to be a quick slip-on sandal for running from the house to the hot tub in the winter, but somehow they’ve become the sandal I wear everywhere this summer – they are just SO comfortable! Get them for the pool and the beach, but you also might find yourself wearing them to the ball games, and the grocery store and everywhere else in between!
- LED outdoor string lights – The best lights for the best price! We recently hung these under our porch, and I am so in love! I’ve looked at more expensive versions but decided to start with a cheaper option, and I’m SO glad that I did. These lights are not glass but are plastic, and while you can’t tell the difference appearance-wise, they aren’t prone to breaking like glass bulbs, and I’ve found they hold up SO well! Between their price point and their durability, these have been a big win in creating a sweet outdoor space without costing a lot.
- Favorite Beach towels – Every year I grab a couple of these beach towels while they’re on sale toward the end of the season (like right now) and I have no regrets. I’ve purchased Target beach towels and various other less expensive brands. Those feel scratchy and thin after a couple seasons, but these last forever! I’ve had our oldest ones for at least 5 years, and they still are as thick and plush as when I first got them – well worth the price!
- Summer pajamas – I’ve shared my love of lake pajamas before, but they’re having a sale right now, and in case you needed to get yourself a birthday gift (or a gift for no reason) 😉 I highly recommend these! I’ve been sleeping in “real” pajamas for years now, and it truly makes a difference in my sleep when I put on actual pajamas that are also seasonally appropriate so I don’t overheat! I love Lake pajamas b/c they’re incredibly high quality, and while they’re an investment, they will last you years!! I haevn’t purchased any new ones in ages b/c they simply don’t wear out. And in case you need a reason to spend money on pajamas, I want you to think how many hours of your day you spend in them and how important your sleep is! They are worth your investment, even if you and your family are the only ones who see them. 🙂
- Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint with SPF – If there is one beauty product I use every day, it is this one. I love this skin tint serum – it provides a very lightweight coverage while moisturizing my skin and providing built-in sun protection as well! I love that I don’t have to think about adding sunscreen to my face later, and I really love how weightless this product is. I’ve used this for many years now and just keep it on autoship. 🙂
- Primally Pure Sleep Spray – This has been such a lovely addition to my bedtime routine. I keep it on my nightstand and just do a few quick sprays (inner arms and bottom of the feet) before bed, and I really feel like it helps with my sleep. It also lasts forever. I’m still on my first bottle and can’t even remember when I purchased it!
- Fav workout tank – Maybe it’s my age, but I just don’t love tight-fitting clothes when I work out. I don’t want to feel my clothes on my skin, and I don’t want anything too heavy either. You could say I’m a little picky 🙂 But I do love these workout tanks. I have two, and they are the ones I always grab for as soon as they’re out of the laundry. They aren’t the cheapest option, but they have a really nice drape, good coverage, they’re incredibly lightweight, and again I’ve had mine for at least 4 years now, so I’d say the cost/wear is really low. 🙂
- Odor eliminators for the teens 😉 – In a couple weeks I’ll officially have 3 teenagers – a 17-year-old girl, and 13- and 15-year-old boys. They all play sports year round, and one thing I was warned about but didn’t fully understand was how smelly everything can get! It’s been a whole deal between their bags, gear, the boys’ room, my mudroom, etc, but I have fallen in love with the brand Azuna. They make some amazing products that help eliminate odor by neutralizing it in the air. It’s a clean product, and I could try to explain it to you, but you’re better off checking it out yourself! 😉 I started with some of the glass jars + gel for the boys’ rooms. But once I realized how much their bags and gear were stinking everything up, I grabbed pods for our vehicles and their bags. I keep a pod in the mudroom, a large one in the garage, and I also have the spray for a quick refresh over their stuff as needed. Their wipes are also fantastic and a great alternative to Clorox. They have different scents to choose from, and the gel for rooms can be a little strong at first due to the tea tree in it, but I find that it settles down after a couple of days. HIGHLY recommend if you are in this stage of life with stinky bags/cleats/sports gear lying around!
