Your word of encouragement from me this week: You are meant to THRIVE. You are meant to live an ABUNDANT life.
But the biggest things I see holding women back – it’s not their time, it’s not their resources.
It’s their mindset. So what do you believe when it comes to how you feel? Do you find yourself saying these words?
- I’ll deal with that later.
- That’s just the way things are after you have babies.
- There’s surgery for that someday.
- I don’t have time right now with little kids.
- It’s going to cost way too much money and require too much of me.
- I’m in a season where I can’t think about myself.
As a mom of five, I get all of this! Trust me, I truly do. But here’s the truth: EVEN in this season, you’re made to THRIVE, and it’s possible, but…
We have to change our mindset. Here are the two biggest mindset changes most women need:
#1. Do you believe that you’re capable of healing? Do you believe you’re capable of feeling good? Living an active life? Doing all the things you want (and need) to do? If your answer is YES, then you already have a huge step forward because belief is half the battle! If you’re answer is no, can I ask – why not? Who told you this isn’t possible for you?
#2. We make everything harder than it needs to be, and often we build up something in our mind that isn’t nearly as big a deal as we think it will be. THIS is what holds us back from taking action. We think it will take too long, be too expensive, be too hard, or require too much of us. And if you’re a busy mom like me, it’s easy to let these things keep me from taking action.
Here’s the TRUTH about the women I see living well:
- They believe it’s possible, AND they decide to make it a priority regardless of the season they’re in.
- They know that when they are functioning at a higher capacity, they’re better able to engage with their kids and serve others (it’s NOT selfish!).
- They don’t get well b/c they have more money than you (I’ve worked with literally every financial demographic of women), or because they have more time than you (I’ve worked with newly postpartum moms who have 6 kids, homeschool, and work on the farm).
- They have HOPE. They not only believe it’s possible, they believe it’s inevitable.
- They end up spending FAR less (PT is thousands cheaper than surgery, a lifetime of pads, and also…your lack of function costs you something too!) than they thought, and it takes FAR less time than they thought (5-10 min of exercise, 4-5 days/week).
Ladies – you deserve to live well! Hope and healing are yours for the taking. Stop waiting for a better time. It will never come. There will always be another busy season around the corner. Start today. I believe in you, and I believe that you can THRIVE, too.
Always cheering you on,
Tanya 💕
