Y’all asked and we answered: 3 pelvic floor exercises that you can do WITHOUT doing a kegel!

These exercises all are alike in the fact that they promote pelvic floor activation because they use muscles that have attachments into the pelvic floor! I also like them b/c they’re a little more fun than just doing Kegels, AND they’re more functional!

1. Squat with toes in and one foot forward – this will feel a little awkward but it’s effective! Don’t let the knees totally cave in!
2. Squat with the ball between knees. Keep some tension against the ball the entire time as you squat and come back up.
3. Forward turning Lunge – I love this one personally, but every time I have a patient do it, they comment on how strange it is. The rotation should come from the HIP. Make sure you’re not just turning your whole body that direction! The planted foot should stay pointed forward.

Trying just 1 a day is an easy way to get a little pelvic floor work in without overcomplicating it!
